Massage and chiropractic are naturally complimentary therapies. Massage and deep tissue therapy helps relax and loosen tense muscles which may have been causing you pain and keeping your spine and other joints out of alignment. It is easier for doctors of chiropractic to attain an adjustment, and for your body to maintain it, when there are no tense muscles trying to pull the bones and joints back out of alignment.
A good massage may:
- make you feel younger
- decrease pain
- increase energy
- reduce the odds of future subluxations
- strengthen your immune system
- improve lymph drainage.
We understand how important your muscles and connective tissue are to the function of your joints. Dr. Hendlin is an expert at muscular and soft tissue therapies. Our clinic provides soft tissue work in conjunction with all of his adjustments and treatments. The Hendlin Health Center features 2 licensed massage therapists of excellent skill who are also each available by appointment. The massage techniques available include those listed below.
1-hour deep tissue massage
If you feel pain running down your leg or thigh, it might be time for a professional massage therapy that will leave you feeling rejuvenated, healthy, and ready for any situation and obstacle that comes your way.
1 1/2-hour muscular massage
From relaxation and pre-event competition to injury rehabilitation and muscular dysfunction and pain, every part of your body will benefit from a professional massage. Leave invigorated and ready to take on the day.
